Our training centre is at Thorniehall Farm in Coalburn. We have five instructors in South Lanarkshire, Ayr and across the Highlands, delivering training across the UK.
Excavator as a Crane
Choose this option when the intended work involves using an excavator for lifting. Tell us the machine and proposed lifting tasks.
Log Handler
For log handler training, describe the machine and timber-handling work. This helps us discuss equipment and location before booking.
Lorry Loader
For lorry-mounted loader crane training, send the crane details, attachments and your previous experience.
Marine Knuckle Boom Crane
This specialist course is listed for marine knuckle boom cranes. Enquiries should include the crane type, location and access arrangements.
Material Re-Handler 360°
For 360-degree material re-handler training, include the machine, attachment and materials being handled.
Slinger/Signaller
This option concerns the slinger/signaller role in lifting operations. Tell us your experience and the lifting environment where you intend to work.
Choose the right course before booking
Send the course name, your previous experience, the number of learners and the equipment involved. Let us know whether you need practical operator training or an awareness course. We will confirm the scope, duration, assessment or certification arrangements and prerequisites for the selected course.
Training location and equipment
Ask about arrangements at Thorniehall Farm or a suitable workplace. Equipment availability and the training location must be agreed for your chosen course; specialist machines are not assumed to be available at the centre.
Our five-instructor team includes instructors in South Lanarkshire, Ayr and across the Highlands. Include your nearest town and preferred dates when enquiring.
